Lancaster was a nice hotel outside of the city center in a quiet area. The quadruple room fit my family of 4, even though it was a little cramped. There was a bit of a smell in our room which may be because the entire room, including the bathroom, was carpeted. Other than that, it was all fine. We rented bikes through the hotel and that worked out well. The tram stops very close to the location which was convenient.

Location was good, quiet area of the city right next to the zoo but there was a tram stop very close which took you into the centre in around 10 mins and about 15 to Central Station. The room was large especially in Amsterdam terms, we had a room right beside the lift but in all honesty we never heard it and in fact the room was extremely well sound proofed as there were no issues with banging doors or anything like that - the shower was probably one of the best I have ever had in a hotel. The room had all the utilities you would need including fridge and coffee maker along with hairdryer and safe. Breakfast was ok usual fare scrambled eggs and bacon and your usual continental type. Only downsides really were that the bed was pretty uncomfortable and the room was slightly too warm for us although we do like a cold room at night.

I enjoyed my stay that much I've book another 5 night stay at the same hotel within a month of my last visit my only concern is the location it can be quite a walk from central or east enough to jump on the 14 tram which drops you just outside the hotel, bed was the most comfortable bed I've had in a hotel to date staff all seem friendly and helpful enough

Loved the quiet neighbourhood. Room is small yet clean and cosy. And a small pack of yummy chocolates as welcome gift. ❤️ Quite a distance from the nearest metro which is actually 1km base on google map and Apple map. The sound proof is very bad. I can even hear my “neighbour” chatting in the middle of the night. And whenever they open or close the door, my wall can shake. 😂 But overall stay is 👍👍👍👍
